Belize

The judicial system in Belize is based on the British judicial system. Belizean International Business Companies (IBCs) are formed in accordance with the IBC Act of 1990.

Taxation
Belizean IBCs are exempt from all taxes - income tax, capital gains tax, etc. However, an annual jurisdiction fee is payable to the Authorities.

  • Registered Office/Agent required – provided by Kobalt.
  • Registered or Bearer shares permitted.
  • One Shareholder is permitted.
  • One Director is required; may be an individual or corporation; no residency requirements.
  • Nominee Director and Shareholders are permitted – can be provided by Kobalt.
  • No requirement to disclose identities of Shareholders and Directors to Registrar.
